Can still buy a one from Deans cards for $3500... i guess Deans Cards must be known for selling cards with very low prices given that sale you mentioned. Red zone has a PSA 6 for $2700

However im sure the $6000 was centered great and had or didnt have the 'butterfly' (whichever is the most wanted)

Granted I cannot see the back of the card but that looks like a 5 that got passed out immediately after a psa grader had a spat with his old lady ☹️

You`re right Jon, a Colts fan AND a Namath fan`s husband. Nice looking card there. "Take it off, take it all off".

Save an image of this card and memorize its print flaws. You're gonna see it in a PSA 7 or 8 soon enough.

Somebody bought it to play with so be on the lookout.

I feel your theories are entirely possible but I also think this may be a case of someone buying the card and not the holder. Without the benefit of the back scan this one looks comparable, if not a tad nicer than the PSA 7 on Ebay for $7300ish.

still...i would think a card doctor wouldnt be looking to pay 6k trying to make a k by getting it two grades higher....it may be buy the card not the holder

i could see card doctor paying 4k.which blows away any psa 5..twice the price basically to try to make 3 or 4k on the card....but seems like a lot of work to make a k or so..

That could be the case. It could also be that by judging by the card only and ignoring the holder, $6000 seems reasonable considering the eye appeal of this card compared to others on the market. There are some shaky 6's on the 'Bay.

Coincidentally, what I would consider a strong 5 looks like it was listed over the weekend for $1950ish. It's sharp and still for sale. I suspect it won't last very long.

As far as significantly undergraded cards I've seen recently there was a 33 Gehrig PSA 2 from the Goudey set that sold last night on Ebay for $2199. I have to believe this was an error on behalf of PSA quality control. This card looked no worse than 5. Did anyone else catch this?

Here are the 2 I referenced previously. Beautiful cards in my opinion.

I've submitted cards that looked like 10's, but got 5's due to a microcrease that is invisible to the eye. Could that be the case here? If so, it likely isn't bumping, no matter how nice it looks. Which, of course, is kinda silly.

People can take out microcreases.
