Sometimes you stumble on a card that is so incredible cool it just takes your breath away. Don't collect these, don't have any, but . . . wow. That's just beautiful.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/PSA-8-HUGH-J...MAAOSwOVpXUyR- In 1960 Burdick wrote that a card collection is "a magic carpet that takes you away from work-a-day cares to havens of relaxing quietude where you can relive the pleasures and adventures of a past day—brought to life in vivid picture and prose." |

how is this card a 1/1 if there is another one that graded the same???? Plus his math is way off...

Yep, noticed that too. But still a really cool card. I don't care if it's overpriced or whatever, but is a beautiful card.

Cool cards. Has anyone ever floated a theory as to why so many Jennings apparently survived relative to the rest of the set?

I never really followed the Tango Egg cards, but here is what I understand. A very large percentage of all Tango Eggs come from a find (in Louisiana 1990's?). There were various quantities of each subject in the find, some with large amounts like the Jennings, and most of the cards are in better condition. The find has been discussed on the board before. I believe there is a Louisiana cards website that might have more detailed information...ah found it louisianacards.com
Think E98 Black Swamp Find, just 20 or so years earlier. Brian Last edited by brianp-beme; 03-01-2017 at 12:10 AM. Reason: added website link and changed some info |

Wow. Letter is cool.
All I need to do is find an unknown set of cards from 100 years ago and I'm set. |

I remember this discovery well from when it happened. Somewhere I still have the issue of SCD announcing the find.

I am somewhat familiar with the individual who owns the Tango Cobby, If memories serves, he got the card graded and it got a PR or FR. Have no idea if he still has it or not, but that proves it is well and truly one of a kind.

Cool card and fairly common pose.
And yes, the Louisiana website linked above is a great resource. Quote:
