Jon is a great guy, and when he says "The worst of the worst" he means it !!!!!

I have sold him the "beaterest" of the beaters I mean 2/3rd of a card, 1/2+ front paper loss, players with no faces, etc, etc.

I do think, that when he completes his set (and he will), it will be one of the most interesting and eclectic T206 sets ever compiled. I would love to see it one day.

Fun, fun Scott

Thanks, Scott! That's a big compliment coming from you. I appreciate all of the generous deals you, and so many of you on the Net54 have given me.
What started as a journey to collect one of each player in the set has, of course, turned into a quest to complete a set of 520. I haven't decided on how to display my cards but I will be sure to share photos when I do. Maybe I'll have to post a few scans of the worst of the worst.
Thanks again,
Jon

I have a few in my collection that meet your "worst of the worst" description, but alas none of them are on your want list.

Just out of curiosity, do you have any future plans to downgrade some of your better cards?

Yes, I have downgraded probably 10-15 cards so far and replaced another 20 with ones that I thought had a bit more character. Most downgrading has been a result of picking up smaller lots for a few cards I didn't have and selling the nicer version of the one's I already had.

My set didn't start out from hunting for the worst of the worst but rather the least expensive cards I could find. Most just happen to be the worst!

If you do have a card you'd like to upgrade to a little less horrible looking one, I will definitely take a look.

Here are a few for your consideration (in order of appearance):
Overall
Miller
Ames
Milan
Casey
Downey
Hulswitt
Clancy
Hahn
Hinchman
Geyer
Bell
Evens
Sheckard
Hoffman
Evers
Birmingham
Ganzel

Fair warning on the Ganzel - it is in two pieces and is very fragile.

I am somewhat reluctant to part with Ganzel and also with the Geyer card. Both fit in exceptionally well with my OBC heritage and I like them a lot. However, your project is worthy of support and I would be proud to have some of my cards in your collection. Let me know what you think.

Default 500!

A deal was made on the 31st bringing me to my goal of 500 by year end - and then some. Three years in, my Monster number is sitting at 513. 7 to go! Thanks to all for the deals in 2015.

This is Hobby Hall of Fame worthy. Tremendous stuff here. You need to post a pic/scan of fronts/backs of the set once complete!

Thanks guys. I'll get detailed pictures at some point.

Green Cobb and Young (bare hand) are the two remaining cards. The Young has eluded me for years. I've only seen a couple green Cobbs that have interested me and they were in larger lots.

As always, if you have what I'm looking for, drop me a line!

Just over 4 years have gone by since starting my t206 set. As of yesterday (thanks to mybuddyinc) I have one card to go! Green Cobb.

I'm in no rush, as this has been a fun ride and the Cobb must be right for the set, aka trashed!

Many thanks to all that have helped. Please let me know if you own one of the worst of the worst cobbs and want to part with him.

Thanks
