Default WTB- Mickey Mantle (Low Grade or Raw)

I'm looking to pick up some low grade Mickey Mantles, of just about any year. I'm not interested in resell, as these are just going into my personal collection, for my Son and I. So, condition isn't all that important. I'm not too worried about soft corners, or small creases...but I don't want anything that looks like its been wadded up. So, if they're graded, I'm looking for stuff that is 3 or below...

Listed below, are some of my top priorities, and the general purchase price range I'm trying to be in. Thanks! (And yes..I know this is posted in the 50s section...but, the 50s are top priority for me right now..so, I posted it here)

1953 Topps- ($300-$400)<-- this one would need to probably be a 1.5 or so.
1958 Topps- ($85-$100)
1958 Topps AS- ($30-$40)
1957 Topps- ($100-$150)
1960 Topps- ($60-$90)
1964 Topps- ($50-$75)
1966 Topps- ($50-$75)
1967 Topps- ($50-$75)
1968 Topps- ($50-$75)

Do you care if they are graded or not?

No. I am open to either one. Just looking for ones I can purchase at a minimal cost.

Thanks for all the deals so far, I've been able to purchase several. Would still like to grab a few more, if the price is right.

I will try to explain this as simple as possible, as to not to confuse anyone else who might be interested in posting in this thread. I find it somewhat silly that its even necessary.

You offered me a card for sale. Thank you for doing so. I have already apologized to you via PM, for not responding to you right away. I had approx. 12-15 PMs in about an hours time, with different cards for sale, scans of cards...etc. With all the different PMs I simply forgot to reply back to you. In my apology to you, (After you PM'd me demanding to know "WHAT'S going on?" and WHY I hadn't replied yet!!) I simply explained that I was not interested in any cards with pin holes, staple holes or card loss. There was nothing else discussed, and nothing else said.

So, it is not necessary to fabricate something that does not exist, yet that is exactly what you've done....

I was simply not interested in the card you offered for sale. There is nothing more to it, so I respectfully ask you to stop trying to make it so.

For everyone else... I've purchased 2 more this morning. Listed below, is what I have picked up so far total. So, I don't need doubles of anything. I've got about $150 left, in what I had allotted for my son. So, I would like to get 2 more cards with the approx $150 left. However I can spend more if its the right deal. Thanks

Purchased-

Just trying to get a feel for it you want beater Mantle's or 1's that look like 6's. When you say PSA 1's, well, the range is HUGE. Sorry if I offended you. Just not easy to scan cards, get them uploaded onto your image hosting site, and then be met with crickets.

You also said you like 1's as long as they aren't beaters. Usually to be graded a '1' and NOT look like a beater, the card MAY have pinholes in it. Alot of collectors actually prefer cards with pinholes in it, because you get a nicer looking card for the technical grade. I'm sorry I assumed you were one of those collectors.

Hey Bobby
Why don't you just offer a card, if you want to, or just move on? He is looking for lower grade within the parameters he stated. There is no need for trying to figure anything out. Anyone can offer a card within those parameters and go from there. Most of the fun is the hunt. If you don't think he is a good buyer then don't offer him anymore cards. For the record I shy away from pinholes most of the times too. But I will take a great looking card in poor technical condition all day and twice on Sunday.

I do have a '69 Mantle with White lettering, graded a 4. Beautiful eye appeal, but would be higher on the price scale. Let me know!
