I have a 1953 Bowman Reese in a BVG 5 holder. I am trying to put together a PSA registry set.
The card has decent centering and ok corner Am I better to: a) Crossover the card to PSA b) Break the card out of the holder and submit it raw to PSA c) Sell the card and buy a PSA version My scanner is not the best, but here is a scan of the card:

With that picture, the card could be anything from a PSA 3-7. Did surface wear account for the grade from BVG?
Here's how I would do it for myself. Send to PSA on a review submission with a min grade of 4.5. If it gets a 4.5 or higher, it would go into the PSA slab. If it would grade a 4 or lower, they will return it in the BVG slab, unless they had to remove it to detect trimming. If it gets returned in the Beckett holder, then I might consider cracking it out.

+1 . . . Fuzzy scan, so hard to tell. The print schmack (?) will pull it down grade-wise. Best thing going for it is centering. If it were mine, I'd sell it as is and use the proceeds to buy one in PSA. |

Crack, submit, take your accolades or lumps either way it goes. Nice card btw.

If you're going to crack open a Beckett holder, be careful and wear eye protection. Seriously.
