Those Tuff Post War Regionals

I know Brian has collected them for decades. Some of the Post War Regional are very difficult to acquire in good condition. Putting together a set can be brutal. The 1949 Sealtest falls in with those issues that are scarce, difficult to find in nice condition....and not collected by many. Lets see some tough Regionals.

Although my main collecting focuses for many years have been pre-War cards, I do enjoy read the Post-War Board every day, same as I do the "Main" Board. Is it my imagination, or is the "Main" Board rapidly becoming the Pre-War & Post-War Board?

MY BAD!!! Another sad senior moment!! For reason I can't explain, I thought I was reading the "Main" Board when I was reading this thread. I apologize to all. I'll blame my goof on watching my Nationals lose their third game in a row to the Orioles at the same time I am reading Net54, which has put me in a bad mood! My Nats have not come anywhere close resembling a division leader this week!

I don't think the '53 or '54 Johnston Cookies Braves are all that scarce and obviously these are not in nice condition. But I think they are cool! (the '54s are the skinny ones)

I grew up in Southern California and of course the Dodgers were my team. I remember seeing this card back in 1962 and thinking it was so neat. Willie Davis laying down a drag bunt! Willie and his brother Tommy were among my favorite players. If I ever shop around for a slabbed hi grade card, I think this will be the one. 1962 Bell Brand #3, maybe the best baseball card EVER!

Larry I love that Willie Davis pose but Willie and Tommy were not brothers. Willie was born and grew up in tiny Mineral Springs, Arkansas while Tommy was a Brooklyn kid. My Mom grew up at 20 minutes down the road from Mineral Springs outside of Wilton, Arkansas.

HaHa I always thought they were brothers that is funny! This happens all the time to me. Like in football when the offense has a first down inside the opponents 10 yard line. For fifty years I thought this was called "goal to goal" then I found out it's "goal to go"! This thread is filled with "senior moments" LOL! Steve I did know that Tommie and Hank are brothers, at least I think I knew that!
