I've got a Frank Chance that just looks dingy.....not tobacco stains, just greyish/dirty from a century of handling. Being fabric, I'm tempted to just gently hand wash it in tepid water with a drop of mild soap, unless anyone has tried that with less than pleasant results. If it was a common I'd just go for it, but I'd rather not F up a HOFer is anyone has any insight. Thanks.

I have never tried it as I have been told that the colors bleed pretty easily.

I have used cold water and no soap and had pretty good results. I usually have just let them sit for about two minutes than I dab them dry with a clean cloth.

If anything I would possibly use a dry soft cotton cloth to gently wipe it, but most likely I would leave it alone. Sometimes you can pat dry the dirt off, if you are gentle.
