Thought I'd share my latest pickup; my first ever E-121 card. I've owned T206, T201, Goudey, Play Ball, but never an E-121 until now. The price was very much in my budget, and Danforth appealed to me due to his playing for Baylor University (my SWC ties) and being from Texas. It is from the 120 card series. Back has some ink writing on the back (someone wrote E-121), otherwise nice and clean.
I'm proud of this one; it presents very well. |

Congrats Jay...I have always liked the E121 sets. They have nice b/w photos with (quite often) interesting backgrounds, all within a simple but appealing border design. In my mind the superior American Caramel sets of the era, as I have always thought the E120 borders a little too busy and the sepia and green tints a little too distracting.

Brian:
Thanks for the post. Very nice card! I've always found it interesting that the E120 and E121 cards use the same photos/poses for several players, and I agree, the E120s are nice cards but look a little "washed out" compared to the E121s |
