The first pic is me pictured with a display in Fenway they created in 2012 for the 100th anniversary of Fenway. The team borrowed some original 1912 Boston Globe newspapers of mine (and made hi-res copies) to create a timeline of events around the opening of Fenway. The display still remains up to this day behind the home plate grandstand.
Second pic is the program from 1934 of the opening of "new" Fenway Park, as major overhauls of construction after a big fire. Last one is me pitching at Fenway - a cool component of the annual Sox Fantasy Camp. Last edited by scooter729; 04-20-2016 at 08:40 PM. |

And it looks like classic pitching form. What a backdrop!

Thanks guys - it was fun throwing a few innings off the hill at Fenway. Too bad the only spectator was a guy washing the seats off, but hey, heck of a fun experience!

My son and I went to Fenway Wednesday night, for the birthday game! They squeaked out a nice win, and, despite the frigid temperature, we had a great evening. Nothing beats the small old park!

I'm really torn here. Growing up in Framingham, Fenway was the only MLB park I'd ever been to, thus I was always in the "Never tear it down' group. However, after living in Denver for two years and going to Rockies games for $2, my tune has changed.
I love Fenway, but it is not a great place to SIT and watch a game. If you're taller than 5'5" and weigh more than 140lbs, it's a tight fit (yes, hyperbole, but not much). I would love to see a new Fenway, built as an exact replica, just larger and more comfortable.

Fenway is one of, if not the best stadium tours, but it is not a fan friendly park to see a game.
