Prewar price list (E cards, Old Judges) from 1970
Usually when you see older prewar cards for sale in old hobby publications (T cards, E cards, and especially 19th century), it's in auctions, and no prices are given. But once it a while you do find a straight sale of older stuff, and this is one of those. It's from issue 51 of the Ballcard Collector, published in August 1970 (the issue after the article about collecting 1933 Goudeys that I posted the other day). A two-page sale listing from Irby George, including a bunch of regionals (which were the in thing for advanced collectors then), some prewar gum cards, a few E cards, a couple of T201s, and a couple of Old Judges in excellent condition for $2.50 each. Just in case any of you needed an incentive to finish that time machine you've been working on.
