I recently bought this T206 Sweeney which I thought may have been the Missing B version. The card definitely has no red but does seem to have a very light pinkish color to it in it's place. At first when I received it I thought that it was not the Missing B version but looking around at some other graded versions I noticed some of them seemed to have a light pink color to it too.

I don't think there should be any remnants of the 'B' on the cap... Can you post a scan of the back?

I am in no way an expert or even close when it comes to something like this, but I would say yes it is a missing "B". I would think it could be like the 1958 Pancho Herrera missing last "A". There are varying degrees of the Herrera variation. I have seen the Herrera with the "A" very faint and it was considered no "A", so I think might be considered the same type of variation.

One of my favorite cards all-round in the set.

That is most definitely a missing "B" variation. As we speak right now there's one for sale in the B/S/T section. http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=217747
