It seems that Pete Rose has been ousted for long enough by the Hall of Fame for his actions. True he did admit his guilty pleasure of betting on the game, however his accomplishments on the field speak loud. This man set records without any "enhancements" to do so like some of the players who may still get into the Hall. A true talent with a bad spot on his name for doing what many others in the same sport and others in different sports do. Betting, can this be even closely scrutinized worse than steroids. My name is Ben Gipson, my opinion is that stats of a player can be " untrue" talent, strength and endurance have been enhanced by drugs in this new era of baseball. In a time past players like Rose had a love for the game not just stats that would make him popular. He was a true talent that gave it all even when he was not at a 100%. He did not need something to make him better, bigger or stronger to make a play during crunch time. He would sacrifice his body in a home plate collision or slide and push his body to make plays in the field that were seemingly impossible. Once again this is my opinion and not meant to annoy or anger anyone. Just maybe one day this GREAT PLAYER will get into the Hall of Fame for his on-field accomplishments.
