Inspired by the Kris Bryant superfractor pull thread. Anyone ever had a great pull that never was? What I mean is, an incredible pull at the time that you held onto just long enough for the player to tank.
Here's my story: in 1999 I was 14 and bought a box of UD Ovation retail packs from the local K Mart. I pulled a signed bat card of Ben Grieve numbered out of 25. He had just won ROY. At the time Beckett listed the card, along with the Kerry Wood companion NL card, for $1,200. I eventually sold it for $25 a decade later. |
