Really cool postcard, by the way... LOVE that it's postmarked 1907! Congrats!

Jeff P. (BICEM) can comment on them. He has them or has had them.

Yes very valuable. I would love to own it. The prices listed above are way low for it.

Beautiful Rotograph, OP. Got everything you want in an old postcard: great image, old postmark and cancelled stamp, handsome penmanship when there was such a thing. There are plenty of inexpensive topical Rotos - landscapes, street scenes, and the like - on eBay, but the baseball subjects are difficult to find. I have the McGraw and the NY Giants team card, would love the others but would be surprised to score any of them. The De Wolf Hopper is marginally related to baseball in that he was the paramount performer of Casey at the Bat back in the day. The McGinnity is not mine, belongs to another collector, added for eye candy.

The checklist is complete by the way, there will be no more baseball players found. You can tell from the number/letter sequence that Rotograph used, the postcard right before and after the ballplayers are both actor cards.
"Rotograph Series" notation is also found and not found on each card. I once had the crazy idea of putting together a master set ![]() Rotographs are all tough (with the exception of the team card), but some are more difficult than others. Griffith and Puttmann are by far the toughest, with the other 6 players being about the same. That pricing above makes no sense. Taylor worth more than Chesbro and McGinnity? Team card is the least valuable, not the most. |

Dogs in hats series... some consider those to be the greatest cards in the hobby.

I just included the entire portion of this set from the Standard Catalog of Vintage Baseball Cards. I don't trust the pricing of any magazine or book.
