An auction has commenced for an authentic John Titus T206 tobacco card.
Now if you want to be a true hoarder, read the auction rules carefully. Potential hoarders must conceal their identity and therefore all bidding in this auction shall be conducted via PM (or email if you prefer) to me. I will endeavor to keep the current high bid posted in this first post. I may not post your bid immediately and am giving bidders the option of simply telling me to raise the existing high bid by five dollars. Therefore if a bid of $140 is posted, but I have received a couple of unposted bids to $150, simply tell me you will raise the bid to the max + $5 and then the posted bid will be raised to $155 when I open your PM. I will also notify you by return PM that you are the current highest bidder and what that bid is. I am asking for a starting bid of $125 and am requesting increments of at least five dollars. Frank Bucks may not be used to pay for this auction. Shipping is included regardless of the bid amount. Here is the card The card is not graded, but will grade and I guarantee it. The corners are slightly rounded. The is a fine wrinkle emanting from John's right ear upward to the left border that does appear on the scan. There also appears to be a lack of starch used in his jersey that has some light creasing. The registration is great as are the colors. The back of the card demonstrates incomplete blue border lines on the right side, but if this is paper loss it is very superficial. I can't be sure. I would expect this card to receive at least an SGC 20 grade, but probably would be an SGC 30. The eye appeal is excellent for the technical grade of the card. Check out the going pricing for 30s and you will realize that someone is going to get a nice card and perhaps a good buy as well. All forms of no fee payment are accepted. For regular Paypal a 3% surcharge will be added until the bidding reaches $200. The auction will end at 8PM CDT time on Wednesday March 11th. Bids must be made before 6 PM sharp. During the last hour of this auction I will be available to update the highest bid in a timely manner. With the previously described $5 raise option, if this is exercised at 7:59:59 on Wednesday, you will be the winner. The winning bid is $140.00. Number of bids - 3 Looking for $145 or more from the next wannabe hoarder. Somebody is going to be the next Titus Hoarder. It could be you. ![]() ![]() Rest assured that this card will be sold and will not be shilled regardless of the final bid and I do own the card. ![]() ![]()
