Hello to everyone. I'm new to the Site. I have this photo in my collection and little info to go with it besides the obvious. Does anyone know anything about it. Maybe a year? Anyone recognize a player/s? From what you can see is this an original photo? Thanks in advance, Kevin in CT.

Welcome to the forums Kevin. You would probably get better info if this was posted in the memorabilia section. Some great knowledge on photographs hang out over there everyday. Good luck.

Has this photo been used for a card?-(Sorry, I have very little knowledge on cards.)
Is this a "Rookie" photo if it marked in 1954? |

Kevin. Welcome. I can't help much, but I don't think that is the MLB Yankees. Guessing 1920s. Uniforms don't match, and it appears one of the players is African American. I could be wrong.

Those are not the Yankees of the American League.

The New York Yankees didn't have Yankees on their uniforms until 1927 and no white hats or 2 black bands on the their uniforms. Just some local team.
Yankees have never worn 2 black bands on any uniform. |

Thanks for this information. So teams like these were common to use ML team name as they do today. Is it everyone's opinion that there is no affiliation with the ML Yankees such as a minor league? I'm still happy to own this even if its not. Thanks everyone. I'm glad I was lead to this Site. Kevin in CT.

I don't think any connection with a major league team. Back then factories, banks, stores and just about any business had a baseball team that at least played weekly.

I just typed in 1910 baseball teams and this is what I got. Plus all the government departments all had teams.
