Doesn't sound that "distant" of a relative if he's got Naps uniform, glove etc...Wow! It would be awesome to see his collection of Naps stuff.

My family doctor for the past 15 is from Pennsylvania and told me his aunt was married circa 1928 in a Philadelphia hotel, and guess who stopped by the hotel during the reception. The story is Ty Cobb was a gentleman, danced a dance with the aunt and the doctor said his brother had a Cobb signed wedding program (since sold).
He's probably told me the story at least seven times over the years now. He's a good doctor and I've known him for years, so have no reason to question the story that there was an Cobb autograph in the family. Last edited by drcy; 11-18-2014 at 12:14 AM.

there are plenty of dogs around who will hound relatives of older players looking for an inside to what they have etc and also to get into their houses.

I'm sorry but this isn't going to open up anything for him! You don't think if someone is going to hound a players relative, that they would know about him by now.
