Baseball Hall of Fame Autographs - Sam Crawford, Hugh Duffy, Dave Bancroft

1) Hugh Duffy 2"x4" cut attached to 3x5 index card. Beautiful signature but a couple of flaws in the "Red Sox Coach" below his name. All in Duffy's hand.

2) Wahoo Sam Crawford vintage GPC cut down to 3x5 size, does not affect his signature. In his characteristic green ink and the autograph is a "10".

3) Dave Bancroft beautiful signature on unlined 3x5 index card.

Beautiful Crawford - do you know who started signing in green first, Cobb or Crawford? I know Crawford didn't think highly of Cobb as a human being, so I wouldn't think he would be emulating him.

I don't think either was emulating the other when it comes to signing in green. Wasn't green a common ink color in the '40s and '50s? I have some vintage Hollywood signatures (namely Ginger Rogers, Betty Grable) and many of their signatures are in green ink.
