I picked up today at the Columbus Vets Show and all's I know is they were in a scrapbook with a bunch of M101-2's. They are forsure period and side to side all the same but the tops have all been cut. They are a size of a Plow Boy. Also if anyone knows of this same pose on a card I would like to know? Thank you in advance for any help.

The first thing I thought of were those 1920'ish manager cards. Of course they aren't but that was my first thought of what they mildly resemble. Good luck.

The tops have been cut but the 3 sides have not so it's not from an ad. The paper stock is not hard cardboard but its much thicker and heavier then paper. Does anyone have other cards with the same poses of any of these? Also notice the Wood has a B55?? Where is Frank Ward when u need him.

Without doing any checking, my first reaction was that they look like Plow Boy Tobacco cards..........

I just got home from my buddy's and they are the exact stock and paper type as his Plow Boy cabinet mine r 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 little different in size but paper looks and feels the exact same? No clue but would luv any insight. The years would have to be 1909 to 1915 I figure and it looks like each player in the face is very young. The scrapbook had a near set of M101-2's which r from 1912 thru 1914 I think. Again, any help would be appreciated. Also, I got from a dealer Ron Estes and he is from MO, thats were Plow Boy's were made in St. Louis, MO? Trying to piece this together.

They also could be bookplates pasted to a heavier weight backing....
They could be the photo pages from a book pasted to a backing. |

Looked at it in a loop. If u have ever handled a PLow Boy u could tell if pasted together, i.e….the paper is not that thick at all on these cabinets. It's thin card stock. But thx for your input...

These have a different front lettering but possible from a yr before or after the Plow Boy cabinets. No clue…it's just the paper stock and feel is identical?? I don't know...

Wild guess - with the tops cut, maybe they were flip-top notebook/notepad covers.
