Didn't Ted Williams do that in one of the early All-Star games? It's a great knee-buckling pitch, but if you can't throw it for a strike, definitely don't throw two in a row.

This latest incident reminds me of back in the day when this happened to Gorman Thomas (BTW, I think a year later or so, LaRoche did the same and Gorman got a basehit):

It's a great at-bat though as you can see Gorman hitting the balls foul and then eventually a hard last swing that must have given the fans a breeze.
