Stan Musial's signature is easier than others when it comes to detecting forgeries (plus, he signed a ton of stuff anyways). But I have seen quite a few full name signatures (Stanley Frank Musial) out there.
Does anybody know if the "e" missing on his name is something he commonly did? Every record I see online, the "e" is definitely part of "Stanley" (vs "Stanly") but was just wondering if omitting the 'e' when he signed stuff was an oversight by him or something to be weary of. The ball pictured for example, looks like "Stanly" instead of "Stanley", but otherwise, the writing definitely looks to be in his hand. Any thoughts? ![]() Last edited by djson1; 05-14-2014 at 12:05 AM. |
