Slightly OT: Let me tell you how AWESOME Net54 Has been for me
So on the REA winning and losing thread I posted that I was the underbidder on the 1939 ACC this year AND last year as well.
Well, a day later, an AWESOME board member that I've known for awhile and have purchased from before without issue, emails me and says he has a collection of 1939 (with a 1940, 1941, and 1942 supplement), 1946 (with a 1949 supplement), 1953, and 1960. I already had all of the ACC's already, however, my 1939 one had a replacement cover and I was wanting a whole one. I didn't have any of the supplements either.
Now, to me, what was cool was that the 1946 one and 1953 one came with the original mailing envelopes. The 1946 one written in Burdick's handwriting and has his stamped return address as well. The 1953 on is written in Charles Bray's hand (I assume) and has his stamp on it. TOO COOL!! Will be posting my 1946, 1953, and 1960 duplicates on the BST Soon.
Sorry for the lengthy diatribe but without Net54, this would have never happened and I really thank Leon for what he has done for my hobby. Also, interacting with so many great members here, make me proud to be a member!!
