Why is this set considered a 1948 release? Even the 1st card in the series refers to stats in 1948 as last season.
Does anyone know what timeframe this set was released in relation to the 1948 and 1949 Bowman sets?

Check-out my 1949 LEAF article in the Old Cardboard magazine (Issue #9). You'll find it very informative and it should answer any questions you have regarding this classic BB card set. Incidently, I collected these cards as a very young kid in the Spring of 1949....and, this set of 98 cards is exclusively a 1949 issue. TED Z |
