Just wanted to warn others about a seller biged049. He is the one that I thought I had bought a great Ryan for my collection and even posted in the pick-up thread. When the card came it was not the one pictured but an inkjet copy. I had politely asked for a refund and I would return the card (no harm no foul) but now he doesn't want to refund me since he stated it was an ungraded card.
I told him that I buy ungraded cards all the time but that doesn't mean it can be an ungraded fake. Anyway long story short I'm working with eBay to get a refund but just wanted to let people know to keep a look out in case he tries it again to another potential buyer. Just trying to save someone else the headache that I'm currently going through. Hope this helps a little. |

Wow. That's a special kind of shade right there. Sorry you have to deal with such a headache. "I said it was an ungraded card, so here's your copy made on my HP inkjet." Wow.
What's next, showing pictures of real cards in a listing then sending home made drawings of cards done on napkins? Last edited by MattyC; 04-10-2014 at 09:23 AM. |

Thanks Matt.
I would not be surprised by anything at this point. It's just sad that so many people are out to make a buck that it makes it hard to buy ungraded cards. He even has 100% positive feedback so I assumed it might just be an oversight. I don't know how much longer he will have that feedback score as I always wait until I get my cards before leaving it. I hate to ruin feedback but I may have to on this one. Last edited by pencil1974; 04-10-2014 at 09:29 AM. |

Sorry this happened to you. That is outright fraud. He knew what he was doing. Fortunately, I believe you'll get your moeny back as it should be covered by eBay's Buyer Protection. Good luck! David |

Thanks David. It is fraud and I explained that to him when he decided not to issue a refund. It's not a huge amount of money (few hundred) but it's the principal of it all to me more than anything.

Hi Al,
It's going to Office Depot or any place that sells heavier weight gloss paper and then printing one out on your own printer. Hope this helps. Thanks, Brad Last edited by pencil1974; 04-10-2014 at 11:08 AM. |

Is this from his listing as "original owner"? He really is the original owner as he was even the printer...

Yep that is him. He sure is the original owner/printer. Only the problem is they didn't have inkjet printers back in 68 so his year in the listing is wrong. Maybe the 6 is just an upside down 9 and he meant 98.

Is it the size and thickness of a regular card or thinner ? And thick paper, not cardboard ? Anything like the SI "cards" from 54 and 55 ?

No it is just thick glossy card stock. Like I said before its what you would by at Office Depot if you wanted to print a nice picture of your kids and wife on vacation to hang in the office. Worth all of about 50 cents and that is only because ink for printers is getting expensive.

What I have to say too that I find funny is that the last person to leave feedback is an inkjet cartridge dealer.... go figure

Those are great Steve. I am stuck on 8 as well. Larry S told me someone tried to sell him a fake of one of them, I think Stankey, at last year 's National
Bob maybe you can print and sell me a 68 Topps 3D prototype Brooks Robinson......since you won't let me touch your real one, or even see it except on closed circuit TV Can sports cards be created with one of those 3D printers ? Last edited by ALR-bishop; 04-11-2014 at 04:51 PM. |

yeah it sucks when people are dishonest and stoop to that level. Just as bad are the people that photoshop their items. There are just so many shady people out there its sad.
