I'd bet the story behind this was it was 1934 & Kenny didn't want his older brother stealing his cards!

Ha - hey, don't ruin my nostalgic justification for Dumb Kenny! Could you imagine the real story is some guy in 1994 left his cards out and his 5 year old kid was practicing writing his name. The ink does look like it's a gel pen....
