Default Double your pleasure - sold

Double your fun in the first (and probably only) DoubleExMint (and that could be a stretch) Auction featuring two attractive offerings from the 1933 Goudey (Don't call me Wrigley) Baseball Gum Card set. This auction is actually two auctions in one. Fancy that. Bidding on the two cards will run concurrently and all bids must include the name of the player you are bidding on.

First the #43 card of Lew Fonseca, who was an off-season Vaudeville singer whose vocal stylings were somewhat less than mellifluous, but still endlessly entertaining, and a 1929 American League batting champ, is offered

Second the #34 card of Bob O'Farrell, one of the smartest catchers in the game, is offered. Bob ran a bowling alley after his lengthy baseball career. He was considered one of the best defensive catchers in the league (because he sure couldn't hit).

Now for the wrinkle. As explained, bid on Lew or bid on Bob until 9PM CST on March 2nd, Sunday evening simply by typing "$7 on Fonseca (or just Lew)" or "$11 on O'Farrell (or just Bob)"

Then the DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE AUCTION will enter an extended bidding period of one hour until 10PM CST Sunday evening. During the extended bidding hour, you may only bid on both cards together. These bids must exceed the combined total of the highest indivdual bids for each player.

A successful winning bid on both cards together will receive the following package containing 15 sticks of Doublemint Gum as well that fortunately is not vintage.

Let's start the bidding at $5/card with at least $1 increments. Paypal fees are on you, but other forms of payment are accepted as usual, and the shipping is on me.

At 9PM Sunday the opening bid for the Double Your Pleasure round of bidding will be determined and posted. Both cards will of course be sold if there are no DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE bids, but the gum included may be used.
