Default FS Soldiers/Cadets cdv

For sale I have a cdv picturing nine soldiers/cadets with a bat and a ball included in the image. Stylistically this would appear to be an early cdv. I would place it no later than the late 1860s and possibly earlier.
$1250 OBO. PP.

I believe this is one of the original sellers, Originally from Guernsey, apprenticed here and eventually went back home and opened a library that's still there.

Better info on his NY career here https://books.google.com/books?id=DF...0Alles&f=false
pages i through iii
He apparently left the business and moved back to Guernsey in 1869, Alles moved back sometime before 1881.

Nice photo, whish I could afford it, and just wanted to add that little bit I looked up.

Thanks for the information, Steve. It verifies my dating as being late 1860s or earlier.
