Just to be accurate...wouldn't this be a 1902 or 1903 pin, as the pin itself indicates "Champions 1902"? Looks like PSA has the wrong date on the flip and in their system.

Without incremental bidding I can see why this would be even more needed than on other large auction houses. I wonder how many last minute posts we will see next Wednesday (

Interesting BST situation & potential problem!
What if someone had bid $175 in between Bruce's $150 & his $275 snipe? Where/what do you set the winning bid at? There was no incremental bid increase established either.

Then his 275 snipe would have been taken. I think what you bring up is moot because no one actually placed an incremental bid.

Not moot at all.
I'm considering the impact on ANY future BST sales as there are very few rules here. On EBay there are built-in bid increments. You did not designate any, so you are saying you would have expected Bruce to pay the $275 even tho the next lower bid was only $175?

That's how it has been in the past. Sean
That is how I assumed it always was. Andy OK w/ me--I just wanted to clarify AHEAD of any potential future problems. I probably have not been Selling here as long as you 2, and had never seen a snipe bid used before.

Honestly, I am pretty reasonable. I used to do 10% increments so it would likely be something along those lines. We can see if others respond and have had this situation before.

OK , I an ignorant to snipe bidding - In this case Sean got a good number for a really cool pin (and is being reasonable) and we can agree that the snipe bid in all likelyhood didn't affect anything. However, to my way of thinking, high bid is high bid - in other instances a double bid by same bidder with a big spread could scare off a bidder in the middle. In fact I have bid against myself in other auctions by accident. What am I missing? I have had a great experience with members on BST to date and will posting some more interesting items in the future, but I'm thinking high bid is high bid.
