Default Altered?

Am I missing the "Altered" part? Any idea what they are saying is wrong with it? Looks like a clean "1" from what I can see.

Default unsure

I do not know. I usually assume some slight trimming. However, I am not expert. I do not see any added ink/color.

It's due to the heavy tear/crease in the center of the card. Only makes the card grade an A. An 1 or A in this case makes no difference in price. The back is a bit tougher than most Cobb backs other than Pied 42's and AB's.

If it was just the tear I would think it would just say AUTHENTIC, yet this has a designation of ALTERED added to it. I haven't seen that added to cards that are just too low of a grade to be a 1. There has to be something else, or a mistake by PSA. Based off the condition, though, I am sure whatever the "alteration" was, it wasn't done to deceive.

It could have been glued back together in that crease?

Default sold?

With all this talk I'm surprised this card hasn't been sold yet. First $350 gets it!
