This auction is different from anything you have seen before (Surprised?)
ALL PIZZA HAS BEEN DELIVERED. Yes, this could be the first ever EXTENDED BIDDING period offered on BST. ![]() Current bidders were given fair warning and no one cried "Foul". You need not have placed a prior bid (like the hoity toity auction houses) to join in the fun of extended bidding. The pizza will be delivered promptly at 9:00:00 this evening, but unlike Dominoes there is no 30 minute guarantee. If you do not get your slice in a week, let me know. ![]() The Auction consists of 6 slices (Lots). 1 slice has been sold. The price of the remaining pizza is $95.00. You may buy the entire pizza or what remains at any time. The slices are priced individually, but those prices are not disclosed until a bid exceeds the price. The total price of the individual lots is $100.00 When a bid for a slice exceeds the hidden asking price, you win the slice for my asking price only. Therefore if you want Slice #2 and bid $10,000 several things happen 1. You win that slice for the asking price plus actual shipping ($2/slice or $7/slice in Canada) 2. The total price of the remaining slices is reduced in this post by the price of the sold slice. Additional Rules 3. You may bid on any number of slices individually or as a group. 4. If you win multiple slices or the whole pizza, only actual shipping costs will apply. 5. Any form of payment is accepted. Add 3% for regular Paypal though 6. All of the hidden slice prices are less than the most recent comparable sales on Ebay. 7. Slices with bids less than the hidden asking price will be sold to the highest bidder with actual shipping charges added at the conclusion of the auction on 11/1. 8. Opening bids on individual slices of $2 with $2 increments are requested. An opening bid on the whole pizza cannot be made as that price will change as slices are sold. 9. I will eat the unsold slices in exactly one week at 9PM central time on Friday November 1st, after completion of a 12 hour period of extended bidding (Rule 10) 10. It has come to my attention that ending the Pizza Auction at 9AM CDT on Friday presents a hardship for slackers on the West Coast who would have to get up before 7 AM to place their final bids. I also hesitate to make a structural change in an auction in progress. However, the notation below authorizes editing and amendments. Therefore, on Friday at 9 AM, the Pizza auction will enter a period of EXTENDED BIDDING for twelve(12) hours. If you are worried about getting outbid during the EXTENDED BIDDING phase of the auction, please remember that the slice prices are reasonable and a high bid does not affect what you will pay. If you want that slice, you can buy that slice. Period. ![]() If there are questions about the format and additional clarification of the rules is necessary, this post may be edited or amended.
