Take a look at this weird card:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-TRISTAR...-/261299592445. They cut a card in half and slabbed it with an Obak label. Does anybody else think this is awful? |

			Worst. Trimming. Ever.

Keeping the card intact and stamping it somehow (think Topps Heritage Buyback cards) would sure look quite a bit better, IMO. I agree...this is awful. Not a reflection on the seller, of course.

What kind of monstrosity is that?

The old lefthander got sliced in pieces as he was rounding third, heading home.

I guess I would rather that they chop up a 60's Topps card than a vintage bat or jersey. I don't understand who is buying the "pieces of the game" stuff.

It's odd to see a card where they've chopped off his face.

This has sort of thing has been happening for a while now. It's their version of a "cut signature"...and I have to agree that it looks tacky and unattractive.

At least it now fits the plastic holder. Who needs to see Mr. Nuxhall's face again, anyways?

I only collect pre-war so I hadn't seen these newer issues. Apparently there are other hack jobs available for collectors. I can't imagine a marketing genius convincing the executives that this type of insert would stimulate sales.

There are a lot of cards like this floating around. I would never buy one, most of them look really bad, but its another way of getting a cut autograph i guess. I prefer just a cut auto on a plain piece of paper over these stupid looking things.

I actually do have a few of these, but they were given to me free by a dealer friend, thats the only way i would ever obtain any.
