As my previous thread was hijacked, I thought I'd just do a new post on this.
I have had the good fortune to meet some folks for the Red Sox and was attending a game at Fenway. One of my friends with the club took us into a somewhat exclusive restaurant area where they keep a number of relics from Red Sox and baseball history. One of the displays is a complete run dating back to 1920 of autographed baseballs from the team that won the world series. It is really amazing. Of course some balls are bolder than others. Attached is a photo of the 1927 Yankees ball, which is pretty awesome, though I suspect it may have been lightly shellacked. The display goes up to the current year. They even have an unsigned ball for the 1994 World Series. |
