Default Scarcity of Goudey Premiums

I don't know much about Goudey premiums from the 30's...but have recently acquired a bunch. I was perusing ebay to get an idea of prices and came across this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1939-R303-B-...item43bd013342

Obviously the asking price is ludicrous...but are r303-b's really tough?

Does anyone collect these seriously? Are many of them tough?

I built a set, not tough at all.
Price is laughable, maybe he is trying to discourage hoarding.

Thought he was on ourside. Always found his articles very self serving. He once ripped a major dealers pricing this is wayyyy more out of line than any of that dealers prices were. Maybe he needs to write an article on himself and this outrageous BIN.

Maybe they are from the "Mr. X" collection and appropriately priced due to pedigree!
