Off to ebay FS: 1st Mets game ticket, full, unused! 1962
Off to ebay:
For sale: A full, unused ticket to the very first Mets game on April 13, 1962, at the Polo Grounds. I consigned one of these to REA and it did pretty well. Sold for nearly $1700. I could probably consign this one, too, but decided I didn't want to wait another six months and would give my fellow board members a crack at it. If no one's interested, I'll probably list on ebay. Like the one in REA, this one's in very nice shape. Two left corners are dinged. A little wavy but no creases or stains or anything. I found them at an estate sale on Long Island at the home of a prominent politician. My guess is she either decided not to go to the game, or else they simply let her in and she didn't have to use the tickets. Asking $1500.00. Paypal OK. E-mail me at robfouch@aol.com. Thanks.
