In-uniform images are preferable to everyday attire, except when they aren't, as with this 1928-29 postcard of Babe Ruth next to someone identified on the reverse as a "Seminole Indian Medicine Man." Two men, worlds apart but shoulder to shoulder, both at the top of their games. (The circular mark is in the negative). A similar study in contrasts is found in the striking image beside it.
