ANTHONY MULLANE Twice signed bank card for "The First National Bank of Chicago" Measures 3x5. Lists personal information such as his date and place of birth, current residence , wife's name , mothers name etc. Also signed on the reverse next to the bank deposit stamp. The signatures on the card are placed that should the card be separated the owner would have two complete signatures. Originates directly from the estate of his daughter who has also signed the card.
Extremely RARE autograph and likely future Hall of Fame member. Mullane is best known as a pitcher that could pitch both left and right handed and for having one of the highest career totals of wins 284 of any pitcher not in the Baseball Hall of Fame. 1882 was the 1st season in which he would win 30 or more games for five consecutive seasons that included pitching a no-hitter in 1882. He was suspended for the entire 1885 season coming in the midst of his string of 30 + victory seasons which no doubt cost Mullane a 300 win career. He pitched from 1881-1894 and was a member of the 1894 World Champion Baltimore Orioles. He died in 1944. $3,500.00 ppd
