| ***SOLD*** FS/FT 1966 Topps Mantle

1966 Topps Mantle SGC 80. I bought this from a fellow board member a few months ago. At the time, it was a PSA 6.5 Ex/Mt+. I thought it looked better, so I cracked it out and sent it to SGC. It came back a 6. I still think it is very nice for the grade. Price is $200 delivered. Very firm. I would be willing to consider trades for: E92 Dockmans VG or better 1956 Topps NM or better 1965 Topps NM/MT or better Last edited by vintagetoppsguy; 04-24-2013 at 07:55 PM. |

Wow, what a beauty David. How that did not get at least a 7 is beyond me.

Print dot below "M" in Mickey is not on PSA copy? Also scratch by his hip is on SGC but not PSA?

Taxman! Great observation on the card difference! Looks like it might have been the wrong card David got back? Marc

I think you may be seeing dust on my scanner on the SGC scan. I'll look at it again tonight when I get home. Edited to add: I have the scans with me at work and blew them both up. I concentrated on the print dot just to the right of the "S" in "YANKEES." There is also a slight horizontal yellow line just above the print dot where the red ink didn't cover completely. I don't see these two print anomalies on any of the ones listed on eBay, so i have to assume they're unique to this card. They're identical matches. What you saw was dust on the scanner bed, nothing on the card. Here are new scans after I cleaned my scanner. Note also how white the back of the card is. A lot of '66 Topps that you see have yellow backs from age.
