This is a spin-off from the current (and frequent) discussion of rarity/scarcity. Show us your favorite card that is rare (or even unique) but hasn't attracted much interest from the collecting community. To put it another way, what do you have that seems undervalued given its rarity?

The only known orange E100-2 Buck Weaver. Half my freaking collection fits the bill of this thread. Many of us are in the same boat. If I had just collected all T206!!

Cool Buck Weaver card Leon. I'm not familar with that set. Are they all blank backs or do you think that is a test print card?

No, it was another series commonly referred to as type e100 type 2s. They came with green or orange backgrounds and are all blank backed. They are super scarce. Until the last few years there were 0 of the type 2 Weavers known. Then a group of oranges came out with this Weaver and 2 other green background type 2 Weavers were found in another group. These 2 white cards were found with that group of type 2s. We believe these are proof or pre-production copies of E100s.

Nice cab, Keith,
I don't think the demand would be too low on that! |

These aren't unique, but pretty damn scarce. Once the excitement over the big find died down Tangos seem to have little market. Apparently unappreciated by PSA as well. Weaver a 5? It's a diamond cut granted, but also dead mint. Never bothered to send the Jennings in.

I think these would qualify as low supply, low demand.

I have always thought these leathers looked tremendous. In my opinion, the L1 Helmars are quite undervalued.

Craig,
My thoughts were the demand should be higher because they're so under appreciated. Any 19th century photo has historical significance and is a baseball collecting treasure IMO. |
