Did you ever notice that auction listings that have lengthy (copy and pasted) bios are often fakes? It's as if they are trying to distract you from the item itself and some lengthy bio copied from Wikipedia adds credibility.

Its an awful signature and yes, Planet books just authenticated the latest Brer Rabbitt series too. Their reputation is sterling.

I was amused that the seller points out PSA's previous problems with Delahanty and implores potential buyers not to ask their opinion on this one, but then turns and holds up the Planet Books LOA as if it proved something.

I just noted that in the other thread. I found tha Anson letter first, and found this one by searching what else the seller was pushing.

They mention that they might put up their Dan Brouthers auto for sale. I look forward to that one.

I think he's just drawing attention to the fact that his example is spelled correctly.

I always check spelling when I authenticate autographs , unlike others I know of.

And the excuse used by everyone connected to that autograph was that Delahanty could not spell his own name.
He might have been a drunk but I don't think he misspelled his name. If he could not spell his own name then he only did it that one time. (the $30,000 mistake), unless someone else has seen a Delahanty spelled incorrectly.

You know that it is much more likely that Bid Ed didn't know how to spell his name than it is that they made a mistake.
