Max Carey - 1931 check opinions?
Checks are a new medium for me and while my initial inclination is it would be too much trouble to forge a check of this nature for Max Carey given the relative low value of his signature, as always I lean towards caution and thought I would ask for opinions on this piece.

There was a lot of these brought into the hobby back in the late 80's. I had a dozen or so and the sigs all looked consistant. I've never heard of any specific years questioned like with Ty Cobb checks where he was sick for a few years and his may have been signed by someone else.

Auto looks spot on to my admittedly limited knowledge of Carey, and I agree that the trouble to make that check would outweigh the value of it.

I absolutely love how clean that signature is....Amazing how busy the check looks until you hit the signature...It looks great!
