Default For Love of the e98s!

Who here is collecting e98s these days? I only know of one other on here, and we have been communicating a lot recently. Disappointed are we that there aren't much out there besides some overpriced eBay auctions....and I can't afford any of the Black Swamp cards. I need half the set still, but hoping to land a couple more over the holiday.

That being said, here are a couple of mine that I love from my set. Let's see some more of yours!

Nice cards Jimi, I don't collect the set, but here are a few of mine. The green backgrounds are my favorites.

Jimi, I'm worse off than you. I still need the other three colors.

I have a handful of e98's...and I also sought out the 4 colors of Jennings...which took me a few years...it seems since I completed this project...Jenningses have been more numerous...albeit still one of the tougher e98's?! Honestly...the BSF has soured me a little on e98's in that I now look at them a little like tango eggs...or minty mello mints?!?!

Default Here I am!

I just got in from a wonderful Christmas eve spent with family and enjoying listening to my children sing in the choir during our Christmas Eve Children's Mass at our church, when behold to my eyes....a thread on E98s!!! Life is Wonderful!

God Bless us All! Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to everyone on the board!

Yes, Greg, I couldn't resist chiming in on an E98 thread! I love seeing all those awesome scans of E98s! Beautiful cards everyone! The Chase is one of my absolute favorites! I love Leon's Bridwell with the miscut on the back. I have a blue Meyers like that, but don't know if they could be connected since they are different background colors. Also love Leon's Clarke Old Put (Leon, Maybe I'll back up my mouth with the $ someday ) Love that Vaughn too!

Jimi, Thanks for starting this thread and I hope to see many great examples of my favorite card set of all-time! I love them all from dog chew toy condition ones to the 8s & 9s of the B.S. find. But Jimi....SHHH! Don't get people excited about E98s! They are hard enough to find with only a few of us interested in them!

Here are a few of my favorites!

Love the timing of this thread! I recently completed a postwar set I'd been working on for a little more than a year and have been contemplating what -- if any -- prewar set I want to tackle. Because I already have a decent number of E98s, I decided that my main focus in 2013 will be to try to complete at least 75 percent of a master set (and then finish it in 2014). Looking forward to the challenge.

Getting late and was about to head to bed but I can't resist chiming in on an e98 thread real quick. Haven't acquired any new e98s lately but am still after my Master set of commons. Here's a couple of my oddball examples with oversized borders....

Merry Christmas everyone!

These aren't quite at the level as some of your collections, but I had to show off the 10 new e98s I just picked up. Woohoo!
Thanks, Tim!
