I like it because I think it will get collectors interested in the real, old stuff. I thought it was kind of neat when I saw it. Most times I seem to be in the minority though and will probably end up that way this time too
 .

I agree. Tributes to older material which are done well (as is the case here, in my humble opinion) should help increase interest in the originals. Thanks for posting this. Best Regards, Eric

I think it looks great. Something to bring back the oldies is a plus...as long as it isn't meant to deceive people.

Just before Leon posted this thread, I made an offer on the Ty Cobb pennant. I like the look of the original pennants, but they are seldom available. I know of a few which show up at a set of shows in the area and there are very few pennants on eBay, so I'm glad to pick up this piece. I also like deadball era players on modern cards, which might also be part of the appeal of the piece for me.
