I like it because I think it will get collectors interested in the real, old stuff. I thought it was kind of neat when I saw it. Most times I seem to be in the minority though and will probably end up that way this time too

Just before Leon posted this thread, I made an offer on the Ty Cobb pennant. I like the look of the original pennants, but they are seldom available. I know of a few which show up at a set of shows in the area and there are very few pennants on eBay, so I'm glad to pick up this piece. I also like deadball era players on modern cards, which might also be part of the appeal of the piece for me.
