I've been looking for the scan but can't find it. I got my first vintage card from him, a T206 Bresnahan, portrait. Then I got my first Old Judge card from him, Joe Mulvey. Then my first T205 and T204. That was mostly due to the fact I went to his shop in Cooperstown and saw the cards there, then bought them from his catalog. I believe I bought about 12 cards altogether from him, then ebay showed up and the rest was history.

When I a kid I bought 1933 Goudey Jack Quinn from the Frisch catalog. I grew up fairly close to where their company was based.

Larry Fritsch was truly "Old School."
If you wanted to see what a card looked like, he would gladly mail you a photo copy of the card...never a scan. Here are two of my favoirite 1911 Obaks received from Larry Fritsch cards: Patrick |

Great stories all. Those Obaks look great, Patrick Fritsch cards graded more along the lines of what I expected as a kid in the seventies, so It was not difficult to adjust to his grading style. Plus, his prices and selection were great. I hear they are planning to have a new vintage card catalog available in the near future. |
