I need some opinions here please.
I picked up this Hans Wagner cigar band from a local guy that I have purchased multiple sports related memorabilia from, some of which I have had graded and all of which I have never found to be altered or fake. Question is... is the thing legit? There are so little examples to reference and the pictures on them all aren't great that I can't tell. The size, paper, and printing appears to be right, but the only thing I don't like about it is it doesn't have any embossed features to it. The printing appears to be good, even though the gold is not a shiny foil the colors are bold/consistent/clear and do not appear to be from an inkjet or copier. If these things were just prototypes to begin with, and knowing the vendor I bought it from, I could see this as being real, but I want your guys opinion. The others that have sold at auction also do not appear to have a shiny gold foil printing to them, which leads me more to thinking this might be real. I also picked up these other two bands from him that I have no doubt are authentic. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, Jared Last edited by Blitzu; 12-09-2012 at 05:49 PM. |
