Football Gear: Any clues
Anyone know what this is? And who was Lee Dempsey, can't find anything about him, also are they worth anything? Thanks

Hip Pads $50-75
Dempsey was an early pro football player. Played for the Rock Island Independants. Also played baseball with the Giants, Casey Stengall was his roommate. Not a good player so he went on to be an umpire Last edited by murphusa; 10-02-2012 at 05:12 PM.

Hi Brock,
The red Hutch helmet is about $50 - $75. Very common and most likely a child's/youth helmet. The Wilson helmet is a little nicer and a clear picture of the inside lining can determine value a little better, but it looks like it is in pretty rough shape. Value on this helmet would be about $150 - $175 if it cleans up nice. I would get a thick wood dowel and place it inside the helmet from earhole to earhole and let it sit like that for a while, that might help it stay open if you leave the dowel in there for a couple of months.
