Default Question regarding 1964 Topps #103 Curt Flood

I've been watching sales on Ebay for this card for a few months now and I've noticed that the competition for it in all grades is pretty fierce. Is this just due to popularity or is it scarce?

While I was going back and reading all the old posts, I remembered this one from about a year and a half ago on the 64 Flood -

Sounds like someone is hoarding them...I am thinking I may take mine and list it...lol.

Default 64 Flood

I have sold several of the 64 Floods over the past year to different buyers....one of the eventual buyers was looking for a better price and did tell me that he had purchased many of them at a lower price than I was asking. This one buyer may have influenced the buying habits of others by purchasing as many of these as he can. It is amazing that I was able to sell a $6 BV card for $75 in NM shape about a year ago.

Another card being hoarded by one buyer is the 61 Topps 242 Hal Smith card... I have sold around 30 copies of this card over the last year, all to one buyer. Reviewing his feedback he has purchased nearly all copies of this card that have sold. Unlike the 64 Flood card it does not appear that this buyer has been able to manipulate the market for this card.
