Always love looking at his auctions, but have never won anything from him. Kind of like window shopping for me

He's hyee_auctions on eBay. I'm on my iPad and there's no link with the app.

Thanks Lance.

I've won only one item from him and that was many years ago...of course my focus is very narrow and he rarely has anything that fits my collection.

In the past he sent out an email regarding his auctions. I didn't get one this time around and would have missed this one. Thanks for the alert.

Default Henry

Henry and I spoke a few weeks ago when he registered for the forum. We have known each other for about 8-10 yrs and have a good hobby rapport. I don't expect him to ever post on the board but more than likely he will be at the Net54baseball dinner as a patron. With his other hobby endeavors I doubt he will be able to speak at the Dinner though. I have my eye on a thing or two, but his auctions sometimes get more than market prices (good for him) so we'll just have to see. best regards

I didn't get one yet either so he must be waiting until all the items are up. I believe the auction is over 3 or 4 nights so look for more items to pop up tonight and through the weekend. I am sure we will get an email soon. I am always Amazed at the stuff that henry gets consigned. Everything seems so minty and there is always something new I have never seen. I Love Henry's auction as I usually find something to add to my collection but also learn so much by his photos and detailed descriptions. Great stuff!

Its amazing the prices Henry gets. Its almost like a "status symbol" to buy and item from his auctions. That said, the quality is there, and the competition, plus Henry is a really cool person.

Good luck to Henry w the auction and Im sure we'll be seeing some of the great Net54 acquisitions from it soon.

Until I came here I was not aware of the interest/collectability of the TYPE I photos....Yee has many to offer...any estimates on how much these will go for? For example, the Babe Ruth in an LA Angels uniform....

Photograph collecting, and Type 1 photos in particular, is definitely a growing area of interest in the hobby. Yee being one of the most knowledgable and selective (in terms of what photos he includes in his auctions) sellers means he brings truly informative descriptions and quality subject matter, which naturally translate to higher prices for his photograph offerings. And, as I believe was a topic of discussion following his last auction, those higher prices spill over to other memorabilia categories he brings as well, though typically photos are his main area of emphasis. It's hard to pin a price on any piece ahead of time, but you can safely bet it will be "top of the market" price (or better) when the dust settles.

Just goes to show that knowledge of the subject matter, fully-informed descriptions, and clear, straightforward presentation of the material are all appreciated by bidders, and they will reward you for your efforts and consistency.

Oh, and literally being one of two who "wrote the book" on the subject helps too

I consigned some items to Henry's current auction. He is a true professional, courteous, informative about my items, communicative with me and it was a pleasure to deal with him.

I don't sell much, so he's not competition in that respect.

I did look and he has nice photos up. The non-sport are nice too.

I'm glad I could start a thread that was positive and reflects one of the real good guys in the business.

Having said that, it looks like my retirement accounts and/or a second mortgage will be needed to get in on this action.

Houston, we have a problem. Anyone interested can PM for the details.

Total scam.
I think if you're going to call someone out for a "total scam" in public, you should also provide your proof/reasoning in public. If your bid was a snipe, I really don't see how it could have been anything more than a coincidence.

I would think this is just a coincidence also. I won three items from Yee's auctions that ended today. I sniped all of them, and for one of them, it hit my max bid exactly. The other two were considerably less than my max bids. (Two Ruth pins and the Butterfinger Ruth ad piece)

Default me too

I was sniping 3-4 items. I won 1 and it was right at $200 below my max. Very happy with the win.

Jake aka Splinte1941 and I spoke today. He didn't realize it was against the rules to use an alias in registering, as well as on the board, when a name is needed. That being said his name has been changed accordingly to his real name Bill Row.ett III.
Please continue.

Lastly back to the subject at hand, I do believe after further discussions, Henry does have clientele that doesn't bid on ebay unless with him.

So he is a person that uses an alias and has info we would like to hear, sounds like a few others that have come and gone.

Thank you Leon, but if you could change my name to Will, I would appreciate it. Only family refer to me as Bill

Leon and I had a very productive conversation and while we remain in disagreement on certain recent issues, I am moving forward and putting this behind me.

I have purchased from Mr. Yee and am only intersted in matters in which you claim to have insight to. Just a challenge to your arrogant posts to deliver on the goods. Jake, Will, Bill, whatever you would like to be called this week, I have no fear of challenges in my limited area of collecting.

You put it out there that you had info of these auctions, so let's hear it.

You put it out there that you had info of these auctions, so let's hear it.

Mommy, I've been bad and this bad man caught my in a fib or what? Your posts have lead me to believe that you are a complete fool and will no longer be read.

If you would like to continue this debate please feel free to contact me on my email of rawn@hotmail.com. You may however continue to make an ass of yourself on the forum if you so desire.

No, there's no lie here Yawn, but please understand that I'm not apologizing because I've been threatened with legal action. I'm doing so because I want to move forward. That's all.

If you don't want to read my posts, I promise you I won't lose sleep.

Now it's funny. What, are you 12? Calling me Yawn? I have always used my REAL name unlike you. I again will invite you to take this off the forum. 207-515-1142 is my number. I don't have to hide, maybe because I'm not a d-bag.

The truth can never be held against you and as a so called lawyer, you should be aware of this.

Sorry, that was a legit typo.

Why do you want to talk over the phone? I don't have an issue with you but you keep at this for some reason.

Truce.

Leon, I'm not sure of all of your collecting interests, but judging by the above information would you be interested in buying the Brooklyn Bridge from me?
