I think it is accepted that the image is not him. Popular guess is that it is actually Jimmy Collins.

It's really Jackie Gleason!
One of the neatest threads I have ever seen on the board was a few years ago when cards were posted and their celebrity look-a-like was posted next to it. Someone posted the E93 Collins and a picture of Ralph (Gleason) from the Honeymooners. Hilarious stuff. I would love to see another thread like that again!
