I know this is a bit late, just now getting time to go through some of it. Not much in the Baseball realm, so please pardon the random stuff
![]() I had a good time and thought you might find some of the things interesting. I wanted to add a description above each photo, but not sure how to when I import them as I have? Here is a break down: 1. Baseball Button - I am guessing 1920s? 2. Baseball Postcards - Is this a play on Women do all the work while the men play? Interesting they took pictures at two different angles and that the two postcards stayed together. 3. Vietnam War letters 1968-69 - Almost TWO HUNDRED letters written to Richard S. Titus while serving on the USS Shangri-La (CVA-38) 4. Vietnam pamphlets - Teaches soldiers how to act while visting each location - includes how to approach the women ![]() 5. Ramese Shriners 20" x 8" - Panoramic photo of the Toronto Canada Rameses Shriners Band - any clue on the date? 6. Large old Building photo 10" x 14.5" 7. Large Bridge photo 15" x 11" - Interesting Civil War Cannon! 8. Two more same size Bridge photos 9. Chesapeake & Ohio Traffic Dept. Panoramic Photo 1939 |

Thanks Scott,
You can see that my collecting habits are all over the place! Below is a link describing the Yard Sale. The 127 Corridor from Michigan to Alabama. I started in Alabama and made it to Kentucky. The Vietnam letters came with Maps & various other items I have not pictured. Have barely broken the ice on reading them. http://www.127sale.com/ |

Central Nebraska has a yearly sale similar to this one..I think it's only around 200 miles and brings you back to where you started...it's called the Junk Jaunt..I've never gone on it, but think it would be fun.
edited to add: It's actually 300 miles...I found the website: http://www.junkjaunt.com/

The Hwy 127 sale was during the National this year. I went a few years ago for a day, but like all my other yard, garage and estate sales...I did not find anything good.
Shawn, that baseball pin is really cool. Congrats Last edited by cliftons8; 09-09-2011 at 08:01 AM. Reason: add text |
