Hey Folks,
Caught this story on the web, and I thought it would be of some interest to Net54-ers. Someone mentioned in another thread how much they enjoyed the book Veeck As In Wreck. I enjoyed this book as well, and especially enjoyed his recollection of this "little" promotional adventure. Looks like the baseball gods are smiling on the memory of little Eddie Gaedel. Wouldn't this be an even better story if his great-nephew became a major league phenom??? http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big...urn=mlb-wp8821 |
